Why work for us!
Hear what our staff have to say…
Guildford College provides me with an exciting, challenging and very rewarding environment to work in. The teachers' commitment to their students is inspiring, and it's a place where your hard work transforms into learners' success.
I have worked at Guildford College for 10 years and I thoroughly enjoy my work at Guildford College. It is a varied role in a fast paced and ever changing environment. The College is a very friendly and welcoming place to work with staff that are dedicated to giving their best to the learners. Having two small children the College has enabled me to have a great work/life balance.
Since starting employment as Head of Safeguarding and Wellbeing I have felt really supported by all staff which has made my transition into a new job role that much easier. There is a welcoming atmosphere at the College, it is a genuinely friendly place to work and a real pleasure to come to work with so many dedicated people.
I have just celebrated three years of teaching at the college. I enjoy teaching the next generation of military and emergency services personnel and it is very rewarding seeing a very high proportion of our students going into the public service.
Farnham offers a supportive environment for both staff and students, engendering a positive learning environment where all members of the college community are valued and respected. I have been supported in my teaching through both professional development sessions, and individual insights and advice from colleagues from across the college group.
Guildford College is a fast paced, forward thinking employer that recognises and develops its staffs’ talents and offers Continuous Professional Development at a far higher level than any other educational employer I have worked for. In addition to the training offered to me in-house, I am also encouraged to undertake my own development and am about to start a post graduate diploma with the college’s support.
Guildford College recognises that the safety and wellbeing of all its learners (including children, young people and vulnerable adults, who are specifically protected under legislation) is paramount and that we have a responsibility for their wellbeing. We are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our students so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.
